*Tickets will be going on sale Friday morning, through livenation.com, for a December 15 WCCC Christmas Chaos show at the Oakdale Theate in Wallingford to feature THREE DAYS GRACE, ALL THAT REMAINS, HINDER, FOZZY and OTHERWISE. Tickets are $29.50 for general admission, and $39.50 for pit admission.

*On sale Saturday will be tickets for MAROON 5’s headlining show at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 22, with Neon Trees and Owl City opening.

Those seats are $65 and $85, and will be available Saturday through TicketMaster outlets, and then also through the casino’s box office beginning Sunday morning.

*Café Nine in New Haven has a solo show by JONATHAN EDWARDS listed on its website for Thursday, November 1, that isn’t quite the case. Newtown musicians JIM ALLYN and RICK BRODSKY, along with the pianist Tom Snow, will be joining Edwards for next week’s show.

Doors open at 7, the music should begin around 8, and tickets are $25. The venue is at 250 State Street; call 203-789-8281 or visit CafeNine.com for reservations or additional information.

*Speaking of next Thursday night, Stone River Grille will host its next live music event in its Hawley Warner Room that night as well. John Voket has a preview of that show in this week’s Enjoy section as well, but in a nutshell: LEZ ZEPELIN, doors open at 7, $15, ages 21 and up.

*Meanwhile, John will be performing in the same venue this weekend. My friend and co-editor will be in “the music loft,” as he likes to call it, at 1 Glen Road in Sandy Hook on Saturday, October 27, starting around 8 pm. There is no cover charge for this show.

*And finally this week (I mentioned this a few weeks ago), a reminder that Sandy Hook singer-songwriter DARRYL GREGORY has a show on Saturday, October 27, at The Funky Monkey Café & Gallery in Cheshire.

Showtime is 7 pm, and there is no charge to get in to the café, which Darryl promises “has great drink, food and ambience, so come on down!” There is, however, a $10 minimum for credit card charges, so plan accordingly.

The café is at 130 Elm Street, within the Watch Factory Shoppes complex. Visit its website  (TheFunkyMonkeyCafe.com) or call 203-439-9161 for more information.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.

Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141. Shows listed at clubs are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
