Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

We are fortunate to have Lisa Romano as a candidate for the 106th state legislative district in Newtown. A 35-year Connecticut resident, Lisa has been active in the Newtown community since moving to town in 2001.

Lisa has volunteered her time supporting our public schools as a reading tutor, Junior Great Books Program leader and room mother, and has also worked in the Newtown schools as an education assistant and substitute teacher, and as a tutor in the Stamford schools. She teaches Sunday school and sings in the choir for her church, Trinity Episcopal, and has served as treasurer of the Suzuki Music School’s parent association.

Clearly, Lisa is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get to work. Her background of working in education, journalism, and real estate will prepare her to reach across the political aisle to solve tough issues here in town and in the state.

Lisa is a responsive leader. When she says she will do something — you can count on her to get it done, which is why I hope you will join me in voting for her on November 6.

Sincerely,

Herb Rosenthal

70 Main Street, Newtown                                          October 24, 2012
