Anthony Joseph Prushko, Sr
Anthony Joseph Prushko, Sr, 92, husband of the late Catherine (Siedlecki) Prushko, previously of Trumbull and Port St Lucie, Fla., died at the home of his daughter in Newtown, October 9, with his daughters Sandy and Dolores by his side. He was the son of Albina (Axterowicz) and Joseph Prushko of Dickson City, Penn.
His daughters Sandy Bouclier, and her husband George, of Newtown and Dolores Salerno of Woodbury; a son, Anthony, Jr, and his wife Andrea, of Monroe; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; his brother, Bernie; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews survive Mr Prushko. Three brothers, Joe, Ed, and Donald, predeceased him.
Mr Prushko was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from the General Electric Company in Bridgeport after 42½ years and moved to Florida to enjoy the warm weather, sunshine, and shuffleboard. He moved back to Connecticut following the death of his wife.
His family wants to express their thanks to the wonderful staff at Masonicare Home Health & Hospice for the exceptional care and assistance provided during his final days.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service, which will take place at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Sunday morning, November 4, at 11.
