To the Editor:

I am proud to endorse Kathy Fetchick and George Caracciolo for the Board of Education. Kathy attends all the Board of Education meetings, has children in our school system, is a member of the PTA, and is a Newtown High School graduate. She is very well informed, and her degree in computer engineering gives her an eye for detail. She knows the importance of a quality education, but is also acutely aware of the increasing tax burden we all face. She will be accountable to the taxpayers. She is energetic, intelligent, and will be a refreshing addition to the Board of Education.

George already has experience as a Board of Education member in Long Island and has attended many Board of Education meetings in Newtown, so he is also very well informed. He knows that simply spending more money on education doesn’t guarantee great results, and that the schools belong to the taxpayers, not to the Board of Education. He will be committed to improving communication between the Board and the public. Kathy and George will bring a conservative balance to the Board of Education. Please join me in voting for them on November 6.
