Performance Will Feature Finalists
in Music Centreâs Student Concerto Competition
DANBURY â Danbury Music Centre will host the sixth annual student concerto competition on Saturday, November 3, at 3 pm, in the recital hall at the music center. The winner will perform a concerto with Danbury Symphony Orchestra on January 27.
The finals competition will feature the following student musicians: Eun Sun Choi, flute, from Kent; Nicole Kilroy, violin, from Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; guitarist Yossi Kohman-Glaser from Newtown; Rebecca Lastra, flute, from New Milford; pianist Michael Mei from Ridgefield; pianist Felicia Pan from Newtown; pianist Colin Rose from Purdys, N.Y.; cellist Leo Scholl from Redding; and soprano Sinead White from New Fairfield.
The adjudicators will be Ariel Rudiakov, music director and conductor of Danbury Symphony Orchestra, and Stephen Michael Smith, music director and conductor of Danbury Community Orchestra.
The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the competition.
