Waveny Care Campus

Waveny Care Network recently named Newtown resident Elyse Dent, MHA, LNHA, administrator of Waveny’s main campus, which houses all of the organization’s health care-focused services, programs, and residences, including Waveny Care Center, The Village at Waveny Care Center, the Adult Day Program, the Brown Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, and Waveny’s Geriatric Care Management team. In this role, Ms Dent will oversee and manage campus operations.

Her experience also includes having served in leadership positions for two Masonicare communities: executive director of the Lockwood Lodge assisted living residence of Newtown, and quality advisor for Ashlar of Newtown’s skilled nursing facility. Her professional career also includes service as adjunct professor at Western Connecticut State University, president of the Board of Directors for the Merryhill Child Care Center of Newtown, crisis intervention specialist for the Women’s Crisis Center of Danbury, and military intelligence and police with the US Army.
