Miss Porter’s Merit Scholarships

FARMINGTON — Miss Porter’s School, the college preparatory school in Farmington, has created the Trustee Merit Scholarships to attract talented girls who are also strong students. Girls who will enter ninth or tenth grade in fall 2002 are invited to apply.

Three scholarships will be awarded each year from the following categories: Fine Arts Trustee Scholar, Athletics Trustee Scholar, Technology Trustee Scholar and Hartford Area Trustee Scholar.

These four-year grants make it possible for girls to experience the excellent education offered at Miss Porter’s School, a boarding/day school for 300 girls, grades 9-12. Each scholarship is merit-based, offering 50 percent of tuition each year that the recipient attends Miss Porter’s.
