Mr And Mrs William Deemer, Jr

Michele Ann Muraszkin and William Murray Deemer, Jr were married on August 14 at Newtown Meeting House, Newtown.

 The double ring ceremony was performed by Superior Court Judge Flynn.

A reception and dinner were held at the Mary Hawley Inn, Newtown, following the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward F. Muraszkin of Newtown and the granddaughter of Mary E. Lake of Torrington and the late Arthur Lake. She is a 1986 graduate of Newtown High School and a 1990 graduate of Indiana State University. She is employed as a medical sales representative by United States Surgical Corporation.

The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs William Murray Deemer of Blacksburg, Va. He is the grandson of the late Mr and Mrs Karl O. Deemer of Blacksburg, Va. and the late Mr and Mrs James Edward Cranwell of Richlands, Va. He is a 1987 graduate of the Asheville School, Asheville, N.C., a 1991 graduate of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va. and a 1995 graduate of the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Williamsburg, Va. He is employed by the law firm of Cranwell, Moore and Bullington, Vinton, Va.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The matron of honor was Dr Christine Weatherup-Heinritz of Rutland, Mass.

The best man was William Cliv Cranwell, II of Blacksburg.

The ring bearer was Dylon Thomas Heinritz, godson of the bride.

The bride wore an ivory silk sheath gown with a cathedral length veil encrusted with pearls. She carried a long stem hand tied bouquet of roses, lily of the valley and Queen Ann’s lace.

After a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Roanoke.
