Patricia M. Smith

Patricia (Murray) Smith, 77, died October 25 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga.

She was the mother of J. Robert Smith, Jr, and Scott Smith, both of Newtown.

She was a native of Bergen County, N.J., and a longtime resident of Trumbull. She lived the past 12 years in Savannah, Ga. She attended Hood College in Maryland and graduated as a Registered Nurse from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and received her master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She was a 23-year volunteer for Hospice and was a member of Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.

Also surviving are her husband, J. Robert Smith of Savannah; a daughter, Cynthia Parker of Litchfield, N.H.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, October 27, at Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.
