In addition to Mr Williams, the other officers are as follows: First Vice President, William Denlinger; Second Vice President, Lee David; Third Vice President, Paul Kreuger; Secretary, Thomas Evagash; Administrative Treasurer, Richard Kovacs; Project Treasurer, David Brown; Lion Tamer, Frank DeLucia; Cub Lion Tamer, Stanley Wyslick; Tail Twister, Albin Mickewish; Cub Tail Twister, Frederick Stakel; Director for one year, Robert Tynan and Edward Newton; Director for two years, Donald Ferris and George Arfaras.
The Newtown Lions club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in Newtown this year. The motto of the club is âWe Serve.â The club raises money for two purposes. One is to contribute to community-wide organizations such as Meals on Wheels, the C.H. Booth Library, and the Cullens Memorial. The second reason is to finance local projects such as Pizza and Politics and Loose the Litter Day. Anyone interested in finding out more information about the club should please call Gordon Williams at 426-6443.
