Halloween Walk In Sandy Hook Center, Saturday
The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) will present its Thirteenth Halloween Walk on Saturday, October 26, from 11 am to 2 pm, in Sandy Hook Center.
This fun, kid-friendly outdoor event will be presented rain or shine.
The event offers participants a chance to display their costumes and collect goodies as they visit the participating businesses and locations, including Heritage Park, within the area of Church Hill Road, Glen Road, Riverside Road and Washington Avenue.
SHOP Event Coordinator Maribeth Hemingway states: “We are excited to host the 13th edition of this family-friendly event.”
PJ’s Laundromat owner and fellow SHOP member Sharon Doherty says “fellow Sandy Hook merchants and I look forward to seeing all the costumed visitors.”
In addition to participating businesses — to be noted by the presence of orange balloons — Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue, its ladies auxiliary, Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Newtown-Strong Therapy Dogs and their handlers will also be at Heritage Park on Glen Road, welcoming visitors of all ages.
