Fascist To The Core
To The Editor:
These are the words that Trump’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley used to describe his former boss. Wikipedia’s definition of fascism is “a far-right authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.”
When he is not talking about Arnold Palmer’s private parts, lying about Jan 6 being a beautiful day or just swaying to the music, Trump is now going after his perceived “enemies from within.” People like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, who dared to stand up to him. Putin, however, will likely be given preferential treatment even at the risk of our own national security.
Project 2025 is the guidebook for a future Trump administration to allow him to wield power to take us to that state where we will no longer be a democracy.
His first Secretary of Defense, James Mattis once said that “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try — instead he tries to divide us.” This helps explain why Trump is listed last in the presidential ranking list.
Former VP, Mike Pence said “...Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.” Trump’s second chief of staff, John Kelly referred to him as “A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law. There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”
Still elected republicans either stay quiet or try to defend this guy.
Save our democracy — vote blue.
