Rose Mary Murphy

Rose Mary (Dombe) Murphy, 79, of Winthrop Court, Milford, wife of Albert E. (Bud) Murphy, died October 21 at Milford Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the sister of Virginia Corcoran of Newtown.

Daughter of the late Julius and Barbara (Juhasz) Dombe, she was born January 3, 1921, in Torrington and was a longtime Milford resident. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Sikorsky Credit Union, a member of the Milford Senior Citizens, and a former member of the Milford Hospital Auxiliary and the Milford Red Cross. She was a communicant of St Mary Church in Milford.

In addition to her husband and sister, she leaves two sons, James R. Murphy and his wife, Kathleen M. Murphy, of Oxford and Richard A. Murphy and his wife, Nance L. Murphy of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; two other sisters, Elizabeth Kiely of Trumbull and Barbara Dombe of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers.

Funeral services were held October 24 in St Mary  Church.

The Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street (on the Green), Milford, was in charge of arrangements.
