Osteoporosis Seminar On Nov 4

HARTFORD — Experts from three health agencies will present the latest information on osteoporosis prevention and treatments at a seminar on Saturday, November 4, from 9 am to 1 pm at Saint Francis Center for Health Enhancement in Hartford. The Arthritis Foundation, McLean Health Center, and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center are co-sponsoring the seminar.

Experts from the three agencies will present information on diagnosis, nutrition, exercise, new medications, treatments, and fall prevention. The seminar will also include free bone density screening. This is the second time that this seminar has been offered in the state.

The seminar is supported in part by an educational grant to the Arthritis Foundation from Aventis Pharmaceuticals.
