Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Wilhelmina Heyde, 95, formerly of Newtown, died October 18, at St Joseph’s Manor, Trumbull. Mrs Heyde was born March 22, 1914, in Bridgeport, and spent her childhood in Stepney.

She is survived by her three sons; a daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her “daughter,” Lois Heyde of Newtown.

Mrs Heyde was predeceased by her husband, John T. Heyde; grandson David Heyde; seven siblings; and longtime companion Jack Robins. 

She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport and retired from McKessons.

Her family would like to thank all of the staff at St Joseph’s Manor for their care and compassion, as well as Rev Rafaela H. Morales-Rosa.

Calling hours will be Friday, October 23, from 5 to 7 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 24, at 1 pm, at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1475 Noble Avenue, Bridgeport.

In lieu of flowers the memorial contributions may be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church.
