Essay Contest For A Chance
To See The 2010 Olympic Games
Local 11- to 14-year-olds are invited to enter the McDonaldâs Champion Kids (MCK) contest, which will have ten winners attend the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games for the opportunity to serve as youth correspondents.
Kids (along with parental/guardian consent) can enter the contest online at www.mcdonalds.com/championkids from now through October 30, by submitting an online essay and video or photo to demonstrate what the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect mean to them, and why they should be chosen to represent their hometown.
In February, the selected United States kids will attend Olympic Winter Games sporting events, meet athletes and kids from around the world, tour the cultural sights of Vancouver and Whistler, and share their stories and perspectives about the games with their local communities back home.
