Bringing Groups Together
Bringing Groups Together
To the Editor:
I would like to thank Anna Wiedemann for her endorsement letter this past week. As part of my desire to be involved with our school district, I have been attending the Board of Education meetings since the spring of this year and have been keeping myself updated on the issues the town and the school district are facing. I have met with teachers, owner/operators, and other parents to hear about their ideas and concerns about our school district. I also attended the recent Board of Finance meeting during which the superintendent and one BOE member reported on the districtâs finances and capitol improvement plan. I have also met with Superintendent Robinson to discuss the successes and challenges of the district.
If elected to the Board of Education, I hope to continue making progress toward productive collaboration with the Board of Finance, Board of Selectman, Legislative Council, and the general public; helping everyone to understand how our school system works and to ensure that the Board of Education is acting as a part of the town. Frequent and open communication is important in bringing the various groups together to keep making Newtown schools the best they can be, for all of us.
Thank you,
Eric Paradis
