A Successful 'Newtown Day'
A Successful âNewtown Dayâ
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Board of Newtown Youth Football and Cheer (NYFC), I would like to extend a thank you to all of the local businesses who contributed toward making the fourth annual âNewtown Dayâ a huge success last weekend: Zemelâs and Stop & Shop for our raffle prizes, Jantris Marketing and Keno Graphics for our media guide, and the following for donating prizes for our tennis ball raffle: Mobil 1, Planet Beach, Sue Preis of Designer Bodies, Michelleâs Salon, Newtown Youth Academy and Rob Frangione, Berkshire Motors, Masons, Bagel Delight, Magic Garden, Ice Cream Shop, Pizza Palace, Posh Nails, Newtown Nails.
This weekend was also host to the NYFC first annual golf outing at Brownson Country Club in Shelton. With over 85 golfers, this day was a great success which could not have been made possible without the generous sponsorship and donations from the following Newtown families and local businesses: Bagel Delight, Yankee Wine & Spirits, Pepsi, Opticare, Lexington Gardens, Newtown Hardware, Dynasty Chinese, Newtown Deli, Drug Center, Berkshire Motors, Mobil 1 Lube Express, Ace Hardware, Hometown Wine & Spirits, NYA, Stadium Systems and the Hubbard, Dunn, Stenz, Bauer, Pearson, Delrossi, Conte, Mittleman and Adamcheck and Galucci families.
The NYFC is committed to giving back to the community as well as the over 300 children involved in our football and cheer program and this isnât possible without the outpouring of volunteer support and the many families who go above and beyond in giving us their time and energy weekend after weekend. We truly appreciate each and every volunteer who contributes to the success of this youth program.
