DESIGN LECTURE AT NHM DEC. 8

AVV 10-8 #714950

LEXINGTON, MASS. — In conjunction with the exhibition “Raymond Loewy: Designs for a Consumer Culture,” the National Heritage Museum presents a free lecture, “How Design Can Save Lives,” on Saturday, December 8, at 2 pm.

Cynthia Smith, curator at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, reveals how design works to transform and save lives for the poor and marginalized around the world. Through local and global partnerships, individual designers and organizations are finding ways to address the lack of basic necessities faced by 90 percent of the world’s population.

The National Heritage Museum is at 33 Marrett Road. For general information, www.nationalheritagemuseum.org or 781-861-6559
