Church Coffee House, Nov. 4

Newtown United Methodist Church will host the next NUMC Coffee House this weekend. The event will be presented on Saturday, November 4, in the lower meeting room of the church building, 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook. The music starts at 7:45 pm.

First Saturday Jam Sessions feature Newtown musician Roger Sprung leading a group of any interested musicians in performing folk, blues, bluegrass and other favorite styles of music.

Admission is $4 at the door, or $3 for anyone who has dined during the church’s First Saturday Pasta Dinner earlier in the evening. (The dinner runs in the same location from 5 to 7:30 pm; call 426-0617 for additional information.) All ages are welcome at the coffee house.

The admission charge also includes coffee and snacks for the evening, many of which are baked by church members.
