Costumed Kids Beckoned To SHOP Halloween Walk
For the third consecutive year, the business and community group SHOP (Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity) is inviting children and their parents to put on their best, scariest, funniest and most creative Halloween outfits and head to Sandy Hook Village Center for a Halloween Walk. This year’s event will be Saturday, October 26, between 11 am and 2 pm.
SHOP’s annual Halloween Walk will provide attendees an opportunity to meet and visit with the many participating businesses in the village district, show off their costumes, and collect treats.
Organizer Sharon Doherty, of PJ’s Laundromat, said she and her fellow Sandy Hook merchants are looking forward to seeing many young visitors. The business district is concentrated in the area of Church Hill Road, Glen Road, Riverside Road and Washington Avenue. The activities will go on rain or shine.
