What character from literature would you like to be for Halloween?

Alana Bennison, Booth children’s librarian: I love the pluckiness of Pippi Longstocking; or Nancy Drew, if I was picking as a child who grew up in the 50s.

Janet Woycik, Booth Library director: I am Mary Poppins every year. Mostly, because I have the shoes… and she’s optimistic, so children love her.

Kim Weber, Booth librarian: Becky Thatcher, from Tom Sawyer. She’s kind of fresh and sassy.

Margaret Brown, Booth young adult librarian: Hermione, from Harry Potter. She’s an outspoken woman, and I like that.

Shane Murphy: Peter, from the Narnia series. I like the talking animals and a world with less rules.

Kayla Christeson: I would be Gatsby. I really enjoyed the book and the movie. He’s a very interesting character.

Lloyd Ferencik: Edgar Allen Poe. He’s an excellent writer, literary — and macabre.
