To the Editor:
I have known Sam Caligiuri and his wife Lori on a personal basis for a number of years. I am convinced that Sam has the necessary character to represent us well in Congress.
Sam has been a dedicated public servant for a number of years. He took on the difficult task of picking up the pieces left behind by Philip Giordano in Waterbury and worked hard to restore respect and decency to the city government. Sam then worked as a state senator and fought for reductions in state spending.
While working hard for his constituents, Sam has continued to be a dedicated father and husband. I have seen him on many an occasion running from a session of the state legislature to attend a ballet class or recital for his daughter, making sure that he is there to take pictures and cheer her on. In fact, it is Samâs love for his children and desire to see them have a prosperous and safe future that has largely driven his public service.
What strikes me most about Sam is his genuine caring for others. Sam is always interested in how he can help, and he never tires of hearing from his constituents. His interest in listening to his constituents is certainly refreshing these days, when our representatives in Washington have continuously turned a deaf ear to us. They pass legislation that we donât want and burden our children with an unprecedented level of debt.
Sam, on the other hand, will stand up for us and will fight against attempts to continue to expand the federal government without limit. Sam will serve with honor and will display the highest level of character. I urge you to support Sam Caligiuri for Congress.
Sincerely,
Jessica Landmon
