Michele Mount, the Democratic Candidate for the 112th State Representative District, has a common sense approach to government that we need in these difficult times. Her plans to reduce education costs, to reform property tax, and to create jobs make sense.

Michele will fight to make quality public education more affordable. Her plans to lower education costs by pooling towns’ buying power for purchases and health insurance would be a common sense way to save money without affecting the quality of schooling for our children. Her opponent voted against allowing towns to join Sustinet, the statewide health network, something that Michele supports.

Michele has earned the endorsement of the Connecticut Chapter of the Sierra Club. She knows the importance of open space and will work to maintain the quality of life we have in the Sandy Hook and Botsford areas.

Michele will work to lower the costs of doing business in Connecticut. Her plan to invest in renewable energy, conserve power, and lower electric rates will mean lower energy costs for everyone.

I look forward to the day when she will be the state representative for the 112th District.
