Putting On The Dog

To the Editor:

“Putting on the Dog V” was Canine Advocates’ most successful event to date. There are so many people to thank for an evening filled with fun, music, food, and wine, along with amazing silent auction items, all in support of a great cause — continued veterinary care for the animals at the Newtown Pound.

*The board of Newtown Country Club, for hosting our event at their beautiful premises

*Hometown Wine & Spirits, for donating 100 percent of the profits from all bottles purchased

*Tarol Samuelson, for creating the painting “Zoë” specifically for “Putting on the Dog V”

*Suzan Hurtuk, singer, songwriter, guitarist, for playing her beautiful original music

*Julie Lyonn Lieberman, renowned violinist, for being our surprise musical addition

*All the local caterers and restaurants for generously donating trays of food

*All the supportive businesses and individuals for cheerfully donating items and services for our silent auction

*All the volunteers for soliciting items, delivering food, setting up, and cleaning up

*All the guests for coming to support vet care for the pound dogs

 It was a wonderful evening. Thank you everyone.
