Josephine Belchick Pimpinello, 80, of Newtown, the beloved wife of 49 years of the late James Pimpinello, died October 18, in her home, with her devoted children by her side. She was born March 7, 1930, in Benton Township, Penn., and was the daughter of Pauline and Joseph Belchick.
 She dedicated her life with much love and generosity to all her family and friends, and was the first living kidney donor to her daughter, Jamie, in 1968.
Mrs Pimpinello worked at the Dupont Sorval Company in its purchasing department for several years.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline Belchick of Fairfield; a daughter, Paulette Cavanaugh, and her husband Bill, of Newtown; one son, James Pimpinello, Jr, and his wife, Beth, of Southbury; one brother, Gene Belchick, and his wife Carol, of Bridgeport; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several other relatives. Her daughter Jamie predeceased her.
A memorial service was scheduled for Friday, October 22, at 10 am, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull, officiated by the Rev Ellen Kennedy. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford, has been entrusted with arrangements.
