On The Road... with Shannon Hicks
*I ran out of space last week (print edition, obviously; I suppose I could have gone on forever in the online posting) and I neglected to mention that Gavin Rossdale and the rest of BUSH have reunited after an eight-year (really? that long already?) hiatus. The band will be at The MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Saturday, October 30, at 8 pm.
Tickets are $30 to $50 and are on sale now at www.MGMatFoxwoods.com, by calling the MGM Grand box office at 866-646-0609, in person at the casinoâs box office, and through TicketMaster.
*Also coming to Foxwoods will be folk rock superstar BOB DYLAN, on Saturday, November 27. I'm not sure when the tickets for this went on sale, but they have. Priced from $65 to $90, tickets can be purchased through the same options I just outlined above for the Bush tickets.
*Meanwhile if it's disco you're looking, for dust off your go-go boots and zip up your bell bottoms because Mohegan Sun Arena will host Disco Ball featuring GLORIA GAYNOR, ROSE ROYCE, CARL CARLTON, ANITA WARD and EVELYN "CHAMPAGNE" KING on Friday, November 19. A general admission floor will allow — and encourage — dancing all night.
These tickets, all priced at just $25, are already on sale through the casino's box office and TicketMaster.
*DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL will be at Toad's Place in New Haven on Friday, December 10. Tickets are $25 in advance or $28 on the day of the show, which is open to all ages.
This is another show that has already gone on sale (I'm seeing a pattern here!), and my apologies for that. The notices from venues are coming in late lately.
Until next week, I'll be seeing you... on the road.
