Retirement Income Strategies

An educational workshop, “Retirement Investment Strategies,” will be held November 10 from 6 to 8 pm in the C.H. Booth Library on Main Street.

Financial consultants Joan M. Bouchard of Financial Underwriters in Danbury and Neil Miller of Secure Future Services of Trumbull will discuss strategies to ensure adequate retirement income.

The workshop will discuss how to:

Calculate the cost of your retirement;

Understand various tax laws with regard to your investments;

Invest for growth, income, and stability;

Take a balanced approach to investing and achieving goals;

Determine the long-term allocation of funds that match your investing profile;

Adjust your portfolio to keep pace with inflation;

Make informed decisions as to which investments best suit your needs;

Minimize your risk and maintain the potential for competitive returns; and

Prepare for a more comfortable and rewarding retirement lifestyle.

Participants will receive a full-color, 20-page workbook on retirement investment strategies. The book contains essential information, exercises, and questions to help assess your current situation and make sound financial decisions.
