Eugene “Gene” John Robert LaVigne, 62, a resident since 1998 of Danbury, previously a 20-year resident of Newtown and Sandy Hook, died at his home October 17. Born in Marquette, Mich., he was a son of the late Betty Jane (Madel) and Eugene John LaVigne.

Survivors include his loving sons Ben and Aaron LaVigne; stepsons Jenson and Neil Olmstead; and his siblings Bill, Ed, and Candy LaVigne.
