Masonicare Sponsors ‘Professionals Helping Seniors’ Series

A series of free educational workshops for the community highlighting a host of legal and other topics of importance to seniors, adult children, caregivers, and family members, are currently being held at Masonicare at Newtown. The workshops are held on Thursday evenings from 5 to 7:30 pm in the Lodge Room.

Participants are encouraged to ask questions of the experts and enjoy a complimentary light dinner.

The Thursday workshop dates and topics remaining are as follows:

October 27, Seniors and tax issues: Dispelling common myths

November 3, Property and Casualty Insurance: Important things to know as you age

November 10, Real Estate and Reverse Mortgages: Options, plusses and minuses

November 17, Podiatry: “Learn everything you wanted to know about your feet — without paying a co-pay!”

Anyone can choose to attend any or all of the educational workshops that deal with topics of personal importance. The workshops are being conducted by members of the Western Connecticut Seniors Alliance, a nationally recognized group of highly skilled and trustworthy professionals who specialize in providing expertise to seniors and their families, such as accountants and tax planners, reverse mortgage specialists, financial planners, attorneys, insurance and real estate specialists, and more.

There is no fee for the series, but seating is limited; call the Masonicare HelpLine at 888-679-9997 as to reserve a space.
