Wilton HS To Host Ugandan Youth

Storytelling & Musical Theatre

WILTON — The public is invited to enjoy performances by Abantu-Mu Buntu, a group of talented 10-19-year old singers, dancers and drummers from Kampala, Uganda, who will be giving two family performances on Saturday, November 5. Shows are scheduled for 4 and 7:30 pm at Wilton High School.

Audience members will be transported to the heart of Africa in a vibrant performance featuring the telling of Kakookolo, a Ugandan folk tale, along with a variety of traditional tribal dances and songs.  Interactive numbers will provide viewers with the opportunity to sing and dance with the young Africans.

Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for students.

The Ugandan musicians are appearing in the tri-state area courtesy of Creative Connections’ International Young Performers’ Tour.

For more information about the performance or cultural activities, visit www.CreativeConnections,org or call 203-431-4707.

Tickets may also be purchased through the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut, which is co-sponsoring the Wilton shows. Call 203-762-5557.
