New Business Sponsors

Cindy Manning and Nancy Metzger co-owners of Chic & Stones LLC, have provided the Newtown High School Blue & Gold Booster Club with its first Business Sponsorship for its $1 million Stadium Revitalization fundraising campaign. The Blue & Gold Booster Club launched the campaign on Labor Day weekend and intends to add equipment storage facilities, rest rooms, additional seating on both the visitor and home sides of the field as well as a state of the art artificial turf playing surface at Blue & Gold Stadium. The Booster Club’s goal is to raise the funds by June 1, 2006 and have the improvements in place by September 1, 2006. The improvements will make the stadium a more spectator friendly environment but most importantly take a facility that today is only utilized on average for 80 hours a calendar year (which includes the Relay For Life annual event) and turn it into a facility that can be used for 40 or more hours a week.
