Mr and Mrs Thomas Bittman
Christina Donigian, daughter of David and Eve Donigian of Sandy Hook, and Thomas Bittman, son of Thomas and Bonnie Bittman of Stamford, were joined in marriage July 17 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Danbury. Father Peter Karloutsos officiated at the ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless white silk and lace gown. She carried a large bouquet of lavender hydrangeas and pink peonies.
The bridesmaids, dressed in lavender silk gowns, were Maria Anderson, Beaufort, S.C., Sonya Cyr, Manchester, Caragh Reilly, New York City, Caroline Smith, Bethel, and Emily Trombley, West Hartford. They carried purple hydrangeas and hot pink Gerber daisies.
Matthew Donigian, brother of the bride, was the koumbaro (sponsor) of the couple in the Greek church. Arthur Galinat, Willimantic, Colin Houston, Anthony Pellicci, and Jed Sackin, all of Stamford, served as ushers.
A reception was held at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Newtown High School and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2001. She is employed as a teacher in Greenwich.
Mr Bittman graduated from Stamford High School in 1994 and from the University of Connecticut in 1998. He is an accounting analyst at Pitney Bowes in Stamford.
Following a wedding trip to Greece and the Greek islands, the couple makes their home in Stamford.p
