To the Editor:

I’d like to thank The Bee for its numerous articles on town meetings where the subject of regionalizing was discussed.  The minutes to various town meetings left out some very important information from these meetings.  Without your articles, the public would not have been made aware of them.  The Bee editorial “Regionalized Emergency Dispatch: Seeing Green” made me feel that I wasn’t the only one wanting to save the Newtown Dispatchers and the sensibility in keeping NECC alive.

I’d like to congratulate my fellow “alarmists” in rising to the call.  Your voices have been heard!  Regionalizing Newtown Emergency Communications Center has been saved for the time being. Newtown first responders can rest assured that their team has not be torn apart and they are grateful for your response.  NECC is being kept in Newtown, right here where it belongs. 

Long live Newtown Emergency Communications Center!
