To the Editor:

I watched the debate between Candace Faye and Dan Carter and was left feeling confused about Mr. Carter’s statements. He told the audience that he did not vote for the gun safety legislation because the bill was restricted to one assault weapon and he thought it should restrict more. Really?

Then why has he not introduced legislation to improve the bill and make it more rigorous? As a member of the NRA perhaps he doesn’t support gun safety legislation. We deserve someone who respects our sentiments and wants to keep our children safe. Support Candace Fay.
