Elizabeth Venturini and Thomas McManus, Jr

Elizabeth Patricia Venturini and Thomas Joseph McManus, Jr, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary McKnight and Ralph Venturini, both of Bridgeport. The future bridegroom is the son of May May Cheng of Newtown and Thomas Joseph McManus, Sr, and the stepson of Rita McManus of Ormond Beach, Fla.

A November wedding is being planned.

The prospective bride is a graduate of Fairfield High School and Keene State College, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. She also earned a master’s degree in special education from Fairfield University. Ms Venturini is a behavioral therapist for a private company in Norwalk.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Newtown High School, and earned a degree in financial economics from St Anselm’s College. He is a derivatives trader for UBS in Stamford.
