The University of Connecticut at Waterbury will be hosting a Fall Information Session on the Hillside Campus, 32 Hillside Avenue, on Thursday, November 4, for prospective students and parents. The Open House begins in the Hi-Tech Room of the Science and Engineering Building at 6:30 pm. Participants can RSVP at 230/236-9800 up to Tuesday, November 2.

Kelly O’Connor, a sophomore at Westover School, has been awarded the Margaret Creighton Williams ’27 Scholarship. Each spring, the Westover Scholarship Committee meets to award named endowed scholarships to students with outstanding academic and personal qualities. Kelly is the daughter of Mr Daniel O’Connor and Mrs Elizabeth Johnston-O’Connor of Newtown.

Dawn Lynn Williams of Newtown has been accepted by the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; she intends to major in Fashion Design. Ms Williams is a 1997 graduate of Newtown High School and is looking forward to a career in the Fashion industry.
