I am voting for Barney Molloy for Board of Finance on November 7th. Please join me in supporting someone who has the qualifications and skills that Newtown needs.

Barney is dedicated to public service and has stepped up time and again in the communities he’s lived and worked in over a 30 year career. He served on and chaired Planning Commissions, Zoning Boards of Appeals as well as working for Westchester and Putnam Counties in N.Y. in budgetary and economic development roles. Here in Newtown, he’s currently serving on the Bike and Trail Commission. While serving in these varied capacities, he has demonstrated very effective organizational and management skills.

Throughout, Barney has always been committed to “best practices,” and believes strongly in transparency and accountability. He’s been a leader in insisting that any information shared with a board needs to be disclosed to the public as well. Freedom of Information, and Open Meetings aren’t optional for him.

Barney Molloy has also exhibited the ability and willingness to work with all, regardless of differing viewpoints and philosophies, for the betterment of Newtown.

This coming election is much too important to not take seriously who we vote for. Your vote matters and it should be for a person who has the experience, ability, qualifications and the willingness to work hard to help our town deal with the challenges and opportunities ahead. That person is Barney Molloy.
