It is my honor to support Julia Conlin for Police Commission. I have had the privilege of knowing Julia for more than ten years, first when she was an appellate prosecutor for the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office and currently, as an outstanding appellate and school law attorney at our law firm, Sexton & Company.

Julia is passionate about her community, where she and her husband have chosen to raise their family for more 15 years. I have come to realize that no one has more integrity or a harder work ethic than Julia. I have always known her to be a relentless advocate for the issues and ideas that she represents both professionally and personally.

As an attorney, Julia is without a doubt the most thorough and efficient individual with whom I have ever had the privilege to work. Due to her background as former prosecutor and now as criminal defense attorney, she has unparalleled experience with criminal law and the issues facing the justice system. Julia is keenly aware of the importance of evaluating both sides of any issue and would bring with her unique insight from both the criminal defense and law enforcement perspectives.

Julia is a creative problem solver, who is not afraid to tackle difficult issues, while always displaying outstanding judgment and leadership. As a result, she has earned the respect of the judges of the judicial branch and her colleagues. If elected to the Commission, I am confident that the community will quickly realize the benefit of Julia’s many talents, just as those of us in the legal community have.

I urge you to cast a vote for Julia for Police Commission because she will bring a breadth of experience, a dedicated work ethic, and balanced perspective to the job.
