To the Editor:

I am writing to support Alison Plante returning to the Board of Education.

I have known Alison for five years and she is a tremendous asset to our community. We served together on the Legislative Council and she was an incredibly thoughtful and disciplined member of the team. Alison is calm, focused and reliable. She works well with everyone, and her ability to problem solve and bring people together was nothing short of amazing during the very contentious BOE book challenge fiasco. From frustrated parents to teachers and administrators and concerned students, Alison applied her calm and resourcefulness throughout, and worked tirelessly until we had a successful outcome.

In addition, Alison is a mother of three young children and a very dedicated and successful professional. More than anything Alison is very kind and Newtown is lucky to have her. She deserves to be elected to another term. Please vote for Alison Plante for BOE.
