To the Editor:

What matters most to me when voting for an elected official is character. By character I’m referring to honesty, integrity, empathy, respect, being personable, ability to communicate, acceptance of difference, personal strength, etc. Jordana Bloom possesses all of these personal characteristics, as well as being intelligent, resourceful, and experienced.

I met Jordana as a colleague on the Democratic Town Committee, where her dedication and determination to make positive things happen was admirable.

Her commitment and love for Newtown is deep and personal. As a long-time resident and mother of four, she understands the town inside and out.

Jordana has already proven her value on the Legislative Council during her two previous terms, and is extremely qualified for re-election. The skills she acquired as a small business owner were valuable during these previous terms on the Legislative Council, and when you add the more recent skills she’s acquired as a strategic project manager at C.H. Booth Library, you have every reason in the world, if you live in District 2, to join me in voting for Jordana Bloom on November 7.

What matters most is character! What matters next is voting.
