Kenneth H. Williams

Kenneth H. Williams, 82, of Newtown, died October 14, at Danbury Hospital. Mr Williams was the husband of Helene (Rockwell) Williams. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., December 31, 1929, a son of Helen (Clarke) and Henry Williams.

Mr Williams was an avid model railroader and volunteered at the Danbury Railroad Museum. A resident of Newtown for 33 years, he farmed his land and raised ponies for children’s birthday parties. He was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge in Sandy Hook and previously was a driver for FISH of Newtown. He was a mentor for the Big Brother Program. Mr Williams was also a skilled woodworker. He will be remembered as a caring, hard worker.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Russell Williams of Virginia, and a daughter, Charlanne Williams of Southbury; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, October 18, at 7 pm, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Calling hours were scheduled Thursday, from 5 to 7 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, Newtown CT 06470.
