Honoring Jill Mossbarger
Honoring Jill Mossbarger
To the Editor:
On Wednesday, October 10, a large group of Newtown women came together to celebrate and remember Jill Mossbarger, an incredible woman whose life was cut short by cancer. Jill entered the lives of these women through different circumstances. Whether they were sports moms, PTA members, childrenâs friends or neighbors, they all came because their life will be forever affected by knowing this amazing woman. She will be missed very much by all in attendance and certainly by many others that were unable to make it Wednesday evening.
Those of us that organized this event wanted to take a moment to thank some of the local businesses that supported this gathering. Their kindness helped to make it a very special night. Fusion 25 graciously welcomed us and generously donated many delicious appetizers for all to enjoy. Newtown Florist kindly donated pink carnations so everyone was able to leave with a small reminder of the night, and finally, our baker extraordinaire, Charlene Calandro, for her pink ribbon cookies and delicious cupcakes. We all appreciate your support and community spirit.
Jill was well known in Newtown where she has left her mark. She was loved by many in whose hearts Jill will forever remain. She was a special woman who graced us with her smile, intelligence, sense of humor, and most of all her love. Rest in peace dear friend, we will continue the circle of love and support to your children, Michael, Matthew, and Katie, and husband, Mike.
Sincerely,
Joanne Amante
