Flash 4, Trumbull 3 â Meaghan Harkins, Kyra Murphy, Stephanie Roman and Molly Arneth all scored to lead the Flash to the win. Lindsay Jossick and Roman had two assists apiece.
Boys U12
Beasts 6, Weston 3 â Grant Ricketts scored three goals and Andrew Martinez added two to lead the Beasts to the win. Matt Mossbarger contributed a goal and two assists while Stefan Dullinger and Otto Kerler each added an assist. Doug Miller played strong in the midfield and Connor Gallagher had a strong game on defense.
Columbus Day Tournament
Junior Pioneers 2, Beasts 1 â The Beastâs lone goal was scored by Andrew Martinez. Jonathan Schwartz played well and Sam Boland, Matt Rosa and Otto Kerler were strong in the midfield. Austin Raftery was excellent in goal.
Beasts 0, Ajax Premier 0 â Stefan Dullinger and Jonah Muniz anchored the offense in the 0-0 draw. Doug Miiller, Michael Teixeira, Adam Hufziger and Jacob Moore all played well. Owen Gaston and Austin Raftery shared the shutout in goal.
Beasts 3, LYSA Pioneers 1 â Andrew Martinez, Robert Linden and Grant Ricketts scored to lift the Beasts to the win. Matt Mossbarger and Jordan Sock had solid games. Wesley Morlock, and Matt Baldino played well on D.
Boys U11
Stamford 3, White Lightning 0 â Kevin Droniak, Graham Hubbert, Nathyn Horvath and Dillon Wikramnanyake were excellent on defense in a loss to Stamford. Kevin Ovendorf put in another stellar performance in goal with over 10 saves. Kaj Djonne and Clay Gattey played well in the midfield.
Girls U11
Lightning 3, Wallingford 0 (State Cup) â The Lightning dominated Wallingford in their second-round State Cup game. Raquel Crespo set the pace by scoring the first goal for Newtown, followed by Sarah Lynch and Jessica Keller with one apiece. Megan Meyer and Shelby Tolla had good all-around games. Dale Shearin and Taylor Lafave handled the nets.
New Canaan 2, Lightning 0 â Newtown was unable to score despite great efforts by its offensive line. Jessica Keller and Taylor Lafave were tireless in the midfield, while Kate Fallon and Siena Cicarelli were solid in goal.
Girls U10
Ridgefield 3, Comets 0 â Despite commendable offensive effort from Haley Trudell, Julia Schoeni and Alana Murray the tenacious opponents finally wore down a hard fought defensive effort. Brenna Kelly and Emily Charash made the opponents job tougher with swift tackling. Katie Mossbarger covered the net in the first half while Alyssa Ruefenacht and Emily Charash braved the goal tending duties amidst an offensive barrage by Ridgefield.
Boys U10
Ridgefield 3, Strikers 1 â The Strikers made a strong effort in their outing against Ridgefield. Bryce Mather scored the lone goal off of an assist from Cole Rogalin. Thomas Gavel played well in goal, while Alex Gerbo and Michael OâKeefe were stand-out defenders.
Darien 5, Strikers 0 â Bryce Mather and Chris Healy made several aggressive attempts on goal, but couldnât connect in the shutout against Darien. Colin Patrick and Jacob Ermis added some offensive pressure for the Strikers. The defense was led by Michael OâKeefe and Josh Houle, who played the first half in goal.

Boys U14
The Fives 5, AT&T 4 â Tyler Ruefenacht had two goals while James Holcomb, Daniel Colucci and Harry Solaski scored one apiece. Matt Banda did a great job in goal. Gavin Scallon scored twice for AT&T, and Mergin Bajraliu and Michael Senf each scored as well. Taylor Rutter did a great job playing midfield and Brandon Unger played a good game overall.
Wolverines 3, Strykerz 2 â Craig Frigon, Jared Wray and Robbie Beier scored to lead the Wolverines to the win. Goalies Robbie Nordman and Matt Wood were outstanding, combining for more than 20 saves. For The Strykerz , Nick Shannon scored both goals. Tyler Hanna and Charlie Poarch kept up the offensive pressure as Nick Klein and Ian Lew anchored a tough defense .
Vipers 2, Boots 1 â Scoring his second goal in the last minute of a hard fought match, Luke Shearin led the Vipers to the win. Alec Beauchemin and Dan Olszewski each had an assist, both playing strong field games. Tom Giarratano was active at midfield. For Boots, Jake Tolson scored the goal as Christian Barrett was very active on the wing with a number of shots on goal. Rob Uhde played his usual tough stopper and Nick Norberg was solid on defense.
Boys U10
Stags 5, Strikers 3 â Christopher Anesi and Liam McNichols scored two goals apiece to lead the Stags to the win. Joseph Perkus added a goal while Korey Brodsky chipped in with some assists and Sinclair Sore played a strong game on defense. For the Strikers, Richard Ciamarra scored twice and Matthew Kretz once. Kyle Keeping and Alec Hersh both played strong midfield and Peter Manfredonia played both a strong defense and goalie.
Twisters 4, Chocolate Milks 2 â Carter Nordman and Tim VanderHave scored to lift the Twisters to the win. Isaiah Volpe had a throw-in assist and Zach Weiland played excellent in goal. Michael Meyer and Chris Rovelli scored goals for the Chocolate Milks while Zachary Laros and Lucas LaDestro each played well on D.
Girls U10
Galaxy 5, Funky Monkeys 3 â Meghan Grimes scored twice and Sierra Mather, Jesse Sailer and Lauren Villamana scored once each to lead the Galaxy to the win. Jesse Sailer and Chrissy Moore had solid efforts.. For the Monkeys, Lauren Beier (2) and Amy Pruner had the goals. Veronica Moyer played strong defense.
Supershooters 3, Blazing Monkeys 1 â Tonya Tucker scored two goals and Caitlin Filiato added one to lead the âShooters. Geralyn Klein and Kirsten Yapp played a great all around game. For the Blazing Monkeys, Christina DeBartolomeo scored the goal with an assist from Emma Lardner. Kate Laaksonen and Brianna MacDonald were outstanding in goal while Sophia DeVivo had a solid all around game.
Rockets 4, Torpedoes 1 â Goals from Hannah Booth, Katy Reilly and Emily Jerris led the Rockets to the win. Great efforts were turned in by Claire Beiter, Caitlyn Linden and Jessie Coughlin. For the Torpedoes, Emma Burns scored, while Jaqueline Mooney, Kayla DiSibio and Emma deFlumeri had great games and Sinead Flanagan was strong in goal.
Boys U8
Blue Hurricanes 5, Great Whites 3 â Nicholas Harper scored twice and Joshua Harper, Jack Armstrong and Brendan OâHara each scored once to lift the âCanes to the win. Adam Farley and Silas Decker anchored the D. Thomas Leuci scored twice with Alex Hess adding another goal for the Great Whites. Luke Melillo made a number of great saves and Hagi Hagischi played strong defense.
Berzerk Monkeys 2, Team (#3) 2 â Simon Preston and Ryan Kost each scored for the Berzerk Monkeys with Jordan Klein playing well on both offense and defense. Owen Sullivan played strong in goal and on the field. Shane Gattey scored two goals for Team #3 with JT Burke playing strong defense. Jason Bromberg and Tyler Lacroce also played well.
Girls U8
Wolverines 2, Cheetahs 1 â Jessica Maturo scored both goals to lead the Wolverines. Mary Hufziger played great in the goal as Maggie Beardsley and Sarah Simonson had solid efforts. Maria Ringes scored for the Cheetahs. Catharina Hyeon and Alexis Mason played well on offense.
Mustangs 3, Skunks 2 â Beth Myer scored twice off assists from Gabby Chernoff to lead the Mustangs to the win. Missy Galante and Jen Pirone successfully guarded all advances on defense. For the Skunks, Ashling Sugarman scored off an assist by Colleen McCarthy. Diana Kirkman was strong in goal and Holly LoCasio made fine passes.
Mustangs 3, Dynamites 0 â Nevan Gattery, Alessandra Manfredi and Alexandra Watson scored to lead the Mustangs to the win. Amanda Wikramanayake played a great game at goal. The Dynamites were led by great defensive efforts from Sydney Flint and Jane Rickets, while Emma Schmid-Tharnish and Zoe Ivan played great overall games.
Soccer Stars 5, Team (#3) 0 â Julia Doyle and Natalie Kelchner each scored two goals and Cassidy Kortze added one against a terrific defense from Team 3. Rebecca Gavel was strong in goal.
Fighting Irish 4, Cheetahs 0 â Megan Kelleher, Isabella Luciano, Brian Straiton and Alexandra Mainoni all scored and Sophia Albano played well in the goal to lead the Irish. The Cheetahs, despite not having any substitutes, played with a lot of heart. Lauren Cirone, Allison Indelicato, Eleanor Frost and Maria Ringes and their teammates never gave up.
Girls U6
Fighting Irish 5, Little Darlings 2 â Jenna Lavelle and Sarah Tressler combined to lead the Irish scoring attack. Lindsey Gallagher and Heidi Poarch were terrific on defense. Maggie Sheridan was outstanding in the goal. Katie Sailer scored the two Little Darlings goals, while Kendra Saunders and Julia Sullivan played well offensively. Samantha Greenawalt and Simone Paradis were excellent on defense.
