To the Editor:

How exciting it is to see the young adults of today step up to the challenge of serving the town where they grew up. Kathy Hamilton Fetchick, born and raised in Newtown, is a candidate for the Board of Education. Kathy earned a computer science degree from the University of Connecticut after graduating from Newtown High School. She is now the mother of two school-age children.

With corporate experience as a project manager and software engineer she is remarkably well qualified to help plan for the educational needs of the community. She will be an outstanding contributor to the excellence of the Newtown school system.
