Support In A Tough Time
Support In A Tough Time
To the Editor,
On October 2, my son injured himself at the varsity boys soccer game. He was promptly tended to by Sabrina, the high school sports trainer, and eventually the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. My husband and I cannot thank them enough for the care they gave him before getting to the hospital.
Due to complications, he has spent the last two weeks in the hospital, and is not expected to return home until at least Friday the 19th. I would like to thank everyone for all the support they have given our family during this time.
To our St Rose family and all the other church families that continue to keep him in their prayers, thank you and please continue to pray for him. To the school community, thank you for doing everything you have to accommodate his needs for the future, and for your true concern for his well-being. For all the soccer families and friends that have sent food so that my family always has a meal, you are greatly loved and appreciated! And to his friends that have visited Chris in the hospital, you have made each day a little easier, please continue to include him in your plans.
Our whole community has certainly shown us what a great place Newtown is to live... thanks again for everything.
Sincerely,
Tammy Marks
