Lacrosse Registration

Registration for the 2008 Newtown Youth Lacrosse season will be held Thursday, November 8, from 5:30 to 9 pm, in the Newtown High School cafeteria. NYLA offers programs for boys and girls in grades 3 through 12. Newtown Lacrosse Association representatives will be on hand to answer questions and help with equipment, etc. Visit www.newtownlax.com for registration forms and more information.

Winter Softball Clinics?

Newtown Babe Ruth Softball intends to offer an expanded winter training program this year, including pitching sessions and general player training sessions. Youth Hoop Registration

NYBA Registration for the 2007-08 season is still open. Just visit www.newtownhoops.com  for more information. Registration is online or by mail-in. Registration will end for grades 2 through 8 on October 24. Also, anyone of High School age interesting in becoming a basketball referee should check the website for the latest info. The website will also be updated with details on upcoming clinics in October and November. 

 

Run For A Cure

The seventh annual Run For A Cure 3-miler will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, at 9:30 am. The race will be held to raise money for the New Milford New York-Presbyterian Hospital Cancer Center and the Relay For Life of the American Cancer Society. There will be a $10 entry fee that can be paid that day between 7:30 and 9:15 am at the Roxbury Congregational Church on Route 317.
