Fall Foliage

Hike

DERBY — The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP’s) Kellogg Environmental Center will host a Fall Foliage Hike to celebrate the wonders of autumn, on Saturday, November 3, from 10 to 11:30 am.

Explore the glorious colors of fall with a Saturday morning hike through the grounds of the Kellogg Estate and Osbornedale State Park. While exploring the autumn forest, learn how and why leaves change color, learn about different Connecticut trees, and be enlightened by fall folklore.

The program is free to the public, and registration is required. To register or for more information, call the Kellogg Environmental Center at 734-2513 between 9 am and 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Kellogg Environmental Center, operated by the DEP’s Office of Communications and Education, is at 500 Hawthorne Avenue, off Route 34.
