A Considerate Stranger
A Considerate Stranger
To the Editor:
I am writing to thank the Good Samaritan who left my driverâs license in my mailbox. On the weekends, I run at Fairfield Hills, and when I got home this past Sunday I realized I didnât have my license. I drove back to Fairfield Hills and retraced my route around the streets and up through the woods, but to no avail. When I got home, my son told me he thought he had heard someone at the front door earlier. I checked by the door, and finding nothing, I looked in my mailbox and there was my license waiting for me.
Itâs reassuring to know that we live in a town where someone will make the time and effort to deliver a lost license to a strangerâs home. They saved me the license replacement fee and what would probably have been hours at the DMV. So, to whoever you are, thanks so much.
