Question: Do you have a good luck charm? If so, what is it?

Margo Zimmermann:  “Something that a Japanese man gave us on our honeymoon. It’s a little silk sack that contains a Japanese good luck poem.”

Matt Lynch:  “No. I don’t really consider myself superstitious.”

Martin May:  “I knew a girl once who had never been to a Yankee’s game. So I took her, and that day the Yankee’s won and David Cone pitched a perfect game. I took her to two other games, and they won both times. I guess I’d consider her my good luck charm, because the Yankees always win when she’s there.”

Jessica Adams:  “One of my campers gave me a beanie baby dog.”

Katherine Matz:  “My braid in my hair; it’s been there for almost two years.”

Rich English: “My good luck charms are per the occasion. Lately, it’s been my Met paraphernalia. I don’t have one [lucky charm] per se. I think superstition is part of being an athlete and a fan.”
